The three most admired design icons of our exhibition

As part of the exhibition 'When Automotive Design Becomes Art,' Autoworld organized an online Elegance Contest.
For 12 days, we presented an iconic car from the exhibition on our social media platforms each day, allowing our members and visitors to rate each vehicle. These votes determined the top 3 most elegant and iconic cars in terms of classic design.

Here are the winners:

Autoworld Mercedes Gullwing

1st place: 1955 Mercedes 300SL – The Undisputed Winner

The Mercedes 300 SL, with its signature gullwing doors and tubular chassis, became an instant classic. Between 1954 and 1957, 1,400 units were built, followed by a roadster version until 1963.

Autoworld Ferrari 250 GT SWB

2nd place: 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB – The Pure Perfection of Ferrari

The Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta SWB, developed by a team led by Giotto Bizzarrini, combined a short wheelbase and disc brakes for exceptional performance. Of the 176 examples built, both steel and aluminum bodies were made for road and racing use.

Autoword Lamborghini Miura

3rd place: 1970 Lamborghini Miura LP400 – The Revolution of Sports Car Design

The Lamborghini Miura, with its mid-engine V12, was a revolutionary sports car when introduced in 1966 in Geneva. Marcello Gandini's iconic design made it an instant sensation.
