Electric Carriages in Brussels

Autoworld is proud to partner with Brussels to introduce electric carriages into the historic city center. These modern carriages replace traditional horse-drawn carriages and offer a sustainable, animal-friendly tourist experience.

In 2022, Thibault Danthine, the owner of the classic horse-drawn carriage service, decided to stop due to a staff shortage and criticism of the use of horses. Driven by his love for the profession, he proposed to introduce electric carriages. This proposal was enthusiastically received by the City of Brussels, which sees it as a perfect combination of modernity and heritage.

The electric carriages are environmentally friendly, noiseless, and accessible to more streets and attractions in the city center. Tourists can choose from various routes that start from the Grand Place and lead past iconic locations such as the Mont des Arts and Manneken Pis. Up to 15,000 tourists can enjoy a unique tour of Brussels every year.

This initiative reduces the ecological footprint and protects animal welfare. Autoworld is therefore enthusiastic to participate in this innovative project that presents our capital in a new and especially sustainable way.
