During the Motor Show, Autoworld, together with organiser Febiac, is leaving the walls of its museum to announce its major 2015 exhibitions in the Heizel halls.
Praise where praise is due: during the Dream Cars Show, a real show within the show where the most beautiful supercars are shown to the public in Hall 11 from 23 to 25 January, Autoworld is introducing its major year-end exhibition, with – in a first for Belgium – the modern version of the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante by Touring Superleggera (photo attached), which was shown in 2013 at the Geneva Motor Show.
The latest Alfa Romeo Disco Volante and the 1954 version (which is on display in the museum of Turin at the moment) are two of the forty Italian ‘belle macchine’ from the ‘Italian Car Passion’ exhibition planned in December 2015 and January 2016 at Autoworld (you’ll find more information on this at www.italiancarpassion.be).
For once, Autoworld is also putting sixteen legendary moto...
Without giving away too much about our 4th big year-end exhibition in December 2015, we can already give you a hint: we’re taking our visitors to Italian seventh (car) heaven. Autoworld officially starts the promotional campaign for this large-scale exhibition at the Dream Cars event during the 2015 Motor Show.
There we’re presenting, in a preview showing for Belgium, the spectacular Alfa Romeo Disco Volante by Touring Superleggera, by the Belgian designer Louis de Fabribeckers.
This car was recently one of the stars of the well-known BBC programme Top Gear.
In anticipation of our next exhibition, ‘Motorcycle Legends’, which will be held in Autoworld during the Easter holiday, the museum will be in Hall 1 of the Motor Show (motorcycle hall) with an extraordinary show of twenty splendid classics that embody 60 years of motorcycle history.
In 1955 Saroléa presented its top model, the Atlantic Major. The big Belgian firm would only produce 52 motorcycles before the curtain finally fell in 1960.
In 2015 Saroléa is celebrating its comeback at our stand during the Brussels Motor Show, after exactly 60 years of absence, with the revolutionary electric racing motorcycle, the SP7.
This show is organised in collaboration with Febiac, the organiser of the Motor Show: www.autosalon.be
It is with great sadness that the Board of Directors of Autoworld informes you on the death of Mr Louis Olivier, Former Minister of Public Works, vice president and co-founder of Autoworld.
He was a prominent member of the association for many years.
Our thoughts go out to the family of Mr Olivier.
