Description

In the run-up to the Ferrari exhibition this summer, Autoworld puts some fifteen variants of the Ferrari V6 and V8 engine in the spotlight in June. ###

Dino Ferrari was the son of the famous car-maker Enzo Ferrari. He contributed to the design of a 1.5 V6 engine with dual overhead camshafts and three double Weber carburettors. However, Dino died prematurely in 1956, when he was barely 24 years old. In memory of his son, Enzo Ferrari created the eponymous brand and gave all V6 engines in the range the name Dino.

This subsidiary, a joint venture of Ferrari and Fiat, designed and produced prestigious GT and racing cars with V6 and V8 Dino engines between 1965 and 1976.
